Core Diet

1,200-Calorie Low- Carbohydrate Core Diet

If you're just trying to lose a few pounds fast, to fit into that cute little red dress two weeks from now, follow this low-calorie, very low-carbohydrate plan. It will get you where you want to go quickly, but do not follow it for longer than two weeks. Use a daily vitamin-mineral supplement to round out the nutritional quality.

Breakfast
1 whole egg plus 2 egg whites omelet
1/2 cup tomatoes and red pepper sautéed in 2 teaspoons oil for omelet
1 cup skim milk

After Workout Snack
1 cup fat-free milk salad and raw vegetables
4 oz. turkey
2 Tbsp. olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing
Green Tea

Snack
12 Almonds
Green tea

Dinner
4 oz. broiled salmon
1/2 cup steamed asparagus drizzled with lemon juice and sprinkled with Kosher salt
8 black olives
Green tea

Snack
1 cup fat-free milk with 1 teaspoon cocoa powder, sweetened with Stevia or Splenda.
